How to Pray

Have you ever asked the question, how do we even pray? Or how do we read the Bible?

Below is a simple step by step way of praying with the Bible. God always wants to speak with us, and prayer was never meant to be too hard. Find a comfortable space, your Bible (or phone) and follow along with these steps:

Step 1: Choose a short passage from the Bible (see suggestions below).

Step 2: Read it out loud,

Step 3: Re-read it another time and see what you can retell from memory.

Step 4: Now that you are familiar with the Bible passage, silently pray for God that God would speak to you through the passage.

Step 5: Read the Bible silently and slowly.

Be open to what God is highlighting to you. Ask yourself:

“What do you see?”

“What does this say about God?”

“What is God saying to you?”

Step 6: Lastly, you may like to think about how you are going respond to this verse in your life.
