Listen to Him

Listen to Him is a parish Lenten resource designed to help us slow down, open our hearts, and learn to truly hear God’s Word. Through short weekly video reflections on the Sunday readings, accompanied by small group discussion questions and personal prayer prompts, this journey invites us to move from simply hearing Scripture at Mass to allowing it to shape our daily lives. This Lent, we are invited not just to do more, but to listen more deeply, and to let God’s Word lead us toward renewal, freedom, and the joy of Easter.

Fifth Sunday of Lent Reflection Questions

  1. What struck you most about Jesus’ response to Martha and Mary?

  2. What does it mean to you that “Jesus wept”

  3. What helps you trust Him more?

  4. How can you bring your current struggles to God this Lent?

  5. Where is God inviting you to trust Him more deeply right now?

Fourth Sunday of Lent Reflection Questions

  1. Where in your life right now do you most need Jesus to bring light?

  2. Are there people around you you might be overlooking or not truly seeing? Why might that be?

  3. What might God be wanting to reveal to you about your own heart this Lent?

  4. Which part of the prayer speaks to you most: “Lord, help me to see”—your life, others, or yourself?

Third Sunday of Lent Reflection Questions

  1. What stood out to you most about Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman?

  2. How do you imagine she felt when Jesus spoke to her with mercy instead of judgment?

  1. Psalm 95 says, “If today you hear His voice, harden not your heart.” What might God be saying to you right now?

  2. What are some ways our hearts can become hardened?

  1. What are the areas of your life where you feel spiritually thirsty?

  2. Have you experienced Jesus meeting you in your weakness or brokenness?

  1. The Samaritan woman left her water jar behind. What might God be inviting you to leave behind this Lent?

  • Have you ever experienced a moment where you sensed God speaking to you? What was that like?

  • What are some of the “other voices” that can distract us from listening to God?

  • In your current season of life, do you find it easy or difficult to listen to God? Why?

Ash Wednesday Reflection Questions

Going Deeper

Personal Application

  • What concrete step could you take this week to respond to the urgency of Lent?
